It was evident that Sweden has got music talent that is what anyone who attended Stocky Pearl’s first ever gig in Sweden would conclude. For starters, we would not carry it on our shoulders that, indeed, she did not try her tunes out as small as the occasion was; she defined her ability and determination to take it up as one budding Sweden-based Ugandan diva to yet join the now competitive industry. Ugamuziki’s Joseph Mbaziira writes;

 Away from artistes who unveil a bunch of hits to enchant their fans; Stocky Pearl only performed three of her songs off her debut album still in the pipeline to her die-hard fans at Alvik Arena in Stockholm. Clad in her aqua blue jeans outfit embroidered with colorful gold jewelry, she enchanted her fans to wild cheers when she pounced on stage accompanied by Boom shutters dance group. Her first take song Oli attractive won women hearts to sing along with her as she strutted on stage. Oli attractive sounds well, danceable and groovy tune although needed more mastering to give it a better sound. Choice yo was another one which grabbed my attention and won her a live performance positive nod considering its new reproduction by UK-based Ugandan producer cum; Sam Kadhume who sieved it to a live performance rhythm with the live keyboard notes, drums and great baselines accompanied by a live light oozing sax which chips in gradually and sounds a way better than the first production done by Charity Records.

Yegwe performed last, retained its mid-range tempo, good lyrical content which straight away evident to the Award winning and celebrated writer Silver Kyagulanyi who penned it down.

Having seen and heard all that, my food for thought to Stocky pearl would focus on her vocals that if revamped, then there is no much effort she would need to reach her music charts. The fashion showcase and performances from budding artists like Mark De Guy and Mugie gave the show a splendid highlight.
